I've set a deadline for myself that I'm already falling behind on. I probably should take a break. I've compromised by writing fewer words each day. That has helped some.
So true. I'm deep into the first draft of book 3 now, and it has been a real struggle, not to find the words, but to find the discipline to keep going no matter what.
That must be so frustrating so close to the end. Are you able to take a break?
I took a solid break this December to refill the take, and it helped me realize I was burnout and didn't even know it. It took my wife and I four days on holiday to realize just how tired we were. 🤦♂️
But then again you're nearing the end of a marathon. It's so tough to know when to push through and when to take a breather so you can come back refreshed.
