Hey Everyone,
I hope your year is winding down and you’re looking forward to a well-deserved break.
Personally, I’m eyeing the end of the day like a thirsty man in a desert. It must come, it has to come—I need a break.
This year has been amazing, and I wish I’d shared more of the ups, downs, climbs, and runs with you. But it’s also been an incredibly full year, bursting at the seams and, honestly, mostly offline.
Which, honestly, feels just right for this time of year.
So, I’m going to lean into that a bit more—I’m pausing posting chapters until the new year. You don’t need more emails right now, anyway. You need fewer bings, fewer commitments, and more time with family.
Drop-kick your phone into 2025 when you’re ready to deal with it again.
I’m pre-emptively loosening my belt, relaxing, and taking the pressure off myself. Writing is supposed to be a fun side quest, not a full-time job with the worst boss imaginable (the one in your head who always knows your excuses are lies—mwahaha! Wait... that sounds like a book I know. 🤔)
Anyway, must run. I’ve got packing to do and a painting to finish—a thank-you gift for my eldest daughter’s amazing first-grade teacher.
Read long and prosper,
Z
PS — what’s the number one thing you’d like to see more of in 2025? Let me know in the comments.
Hi Zane. I'm doing the same thing. I'm only going to post one more time before January, and it's a post that's already done and ready to go. Hope the rest of month goes well for you and yours. You've got special talent, and I can't wait to see where it takes you.
